Mount Lebanon Baptist Church was founded on March 23, 1926 by the late Rev. George Spear in the back yard of founding members Brother and Sister Cliett. During the inception, it was the only church in the Unionville neighborhood, because of this, the Sunday school class grew very large. Due to the faithfulness of the attendees, the church was blessed to purchase a property on Key Street in Macon, GA. God allowed the ministry to flourish over the years blessing us with over 11 pastors. In 1999, the Lord called our current Pastor to continue His work. Rev. Dr. Henderson Carswell and First Lady Mary Sue Carswell took the helms and the church continues to grow with all the glory given to God. In response to the growth, the church moved to a new location on Bloomfield Drive where we continue to spread God’s word. Today, our ministry remains strong and continues to be the place where everybody is somebody and Jesus Christ is All!
